A dose of Artoons to start the year

Dear paid subscribers,

2025 is now here. We survived 2024 as the annus horribilis that it was, and there is much to worry about in the political realm. But I am old enough now to know, like the ancient Skeptics say— I believe it was Sextus Empiricus— that one should never get too depressed by failure not too excited by success. Said in British vernacular, we need to keep calm and carry on. I am currently working with friends, colleagues and others on many exciting projects that will be announced in due time, all of which make me very excited to take on 2025 in full force. As Brecht said of the dark times, yes, there will be singing of the dark times. And (Brecht did not say this, but I would add) there will be Artoons.

I am so thankful to each of you for your financial support to Beautiful Eccentrics. It has made all the difference for me over the last year (without which I simply continue this work) .
